WHO WE ARE

Mark Maggiora is the Executive Director for Americans Building Community.

He has a deep belief that the role of government and goal of government are two separate functions and rarely should services be delivered by the public sector. He experienced many challenges as a young person that helped strengthen his faith and developed his resilience. After 21 years with the US Forest Service where he helped timber dependent communities re-invent themselves as a community, he decided to use those skills to strengthen the place where he lives.

Mark moved to Vancouver, WA in 1990 and has become involved in projects that relate to his purpose in life – to help mobilize people to serve. Mark has served on the City of Vancouver Urban Forestry Commission, on the City of Vancouver Charter Review Committee, several other task forces and is currently serving on the Board for The Performance Center, Partner with Transformation Systems International, the Board President of Open House Ministries, and Treasurer of the Board for Thriving Families of Clark County. mark@abcinc.us

She is Assistant to the Director of Expanding Ministries and Healthy Congregations with the District Office of the LCMS Church, and Administrative Officer for Transformation Systems International. patti@abcinc.us

Kevin Hiebert is Project Manager for Americans Building Community.

Kevin has a desire to help connect people together in ways that help build a community that works together by utilizing and discovering the unique gifts of the citizens in the neighborhood.  He feels that everyone has a “story” and a “gift” that makes them an integral part of what it means to be in community together. kevinhiebert@gmail.com
